IMREI DAAT YESHIVA
Imrei Daat Yeshiva, led by Rabbi Shaul Gabai, is a renowned institution of Jewish learning located in Jerusalem, Israel.
Under Rabbi Gabai's leadership, Yeshivat Imrei Daat, established in 1994 with the support of Gedolei HaTorah, has gained a reputation for its rich academic standards and the emphasis on depth and penetrating understanding. Imrei Daat, together with it's kollel was the first "kibbetz" yeshiva for Sephardim.
RABBI SHAUL GABAI

Rav Gabai was also close to the Rosh Yeshiva HaGaon Rabbi Avraham Farbstein and from him he received ordination for Dayanut.
Rav Shaul Gabai studied at the Hebron yeshiva in Yerushalayim.
He was close to the Rosh Yeshiva HaGaon Rabbi Simcha Zissel Broide from whom he received haskamah (approval) for his sefer on Yavamot and Hilchot Agunot.
As a young Rabbi, Rav Shaul Gabai developed a strong relationship with the Rosh Yeshiva of Porat Yosef HaGaon Rabbi Ben Zion Abba Shaul which continued for over 15 years during which they studied together regularly. For several years, Rabbi Shaul Gabai lectured at the Porat Yosef Yeshiva in Geula.
Rabbi Ben Zion Abba Shaul asked Rav Gabai to write his book Shut (Questions and answers) Or Lezion Part 1 and chidushim on the tractates Yavemot, Ketubot, Baba Kama, Kiddushin, Sheviit.
In 1994, with the blessing of Rabbi Ben Broide and Rabbi Ben Zion Abba Shaul, Rav Gabai opened Imrei Daat Yeshiva - the first kibbutz yeshiva for Sephardim together with a Kollel. Over the years Rav Gabai was in close contact with the Torah luminaries on yeshiva matters - with HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Shalom Eliashiv, HaGaon Rabbi Aryeh Leib Steinman, HaGaon Rabbi Michal Yehuda Lefkowitz and with HaGaon Rabbi Moshe Shapira among others. In recent years, Rav Shaul Gabai learned regularly with HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky on the halachot of the Bet Hamikdash and Klei Hamishkan while writing his sefer on the Beis Habihira – Bet Hamikdash.
Rav Gabai wrote sefarim on Masechet Yevamot, Ketuvot, Gittin,Kidushin, Bava Kama, Bava Metziah, Bava Batrah, Sanhedrin, Shvuot, Makot, Trumot, Shviit, Shabbat, Pesachim, Bechorot, Nedarim, Meillah, Hilchot Beit Habichira, Avot, Medrash Rabba, Shut Hok OrHahaiim, Tefillot Rosh Hashanah and more. Many of the sefarim also contain chidushim on Shulchan Aruch.
